January 29, 2020 – Solon, Ohio. American Endurance Racing announced today it has joined forces with a familiar name in aftermarket motorsports parts, officially commencing an alliance with Hawk Performance as their Official Brake Pad Sponsor.
“Our drivers have put Hawk Performance products to the test in countless races on a wide range of tracks, and in varying weather conditions,” said series President, John Kolesa. “With the increasing performance demands our drivers and teams are bringing to the track with their builds, they absolutely need the most responsive brakes, with guaranteed zero fade, and that’s what Hawk delivers every time.”
“Hawk has a long and respected tradition of partnership with grassroots racing, and we continue to look for and evaluate new relationships,” noted Hawk Performance Product Group Manager, Malcolm Sedano. “Since AER is set up to allow any race car that has been built to compete in sanctioned road racing with SCCA, NASA, PCA, IMSA, and similar governing bodies, this is a natural progression for us.”

The American Endurance Racing (AER) Series was born in 2014 out of a desire for an inclusive endurance racing series with simple rules. AER’s goal is to provide a fun, safe environment for experienced drivers to participate in endurance races using almomst any product based race car. All AER races are multi-class races with cars competing against other, in-class cars. Cars are classed with other cars with similar performance, based on qualifying times posted during qualifying sessions. While entry fees vary event to event due to the length of the event, AER is determined to provide competitors an excellent value, and to keep entry economical. AER’s simple, all-inclusive fee covers the event costs for one car; all driver and crew; and all practice, qualifying, and race sessions.
